“Maintaining Inner Light” is an exhibit of 30 wall-hung pieces and 26 smaller freestanding pieces all focused on the theme of the healing powers of art.

When faced with critical illness and subsequent treatment, artist Nancy McHone placed her physical care in professional hands but found that “an intuitive understanding of the path to wellness revealed itself through my artwork.”

Ongoing events during this exhibit include a raffle of 2 of Nancy’s artworks (tickets available at WCA) to benefit the Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino County. Also a free Art and Healing workshop (materials included) will be on September 16 at WCA (11-12:30PM). This will be an opportunity to discuss and experience some safe and effective art therapy techniques with artist and therapist Sue Sweet MFT-ATR.
