Willits Community Theatre Streaming Performances

Subscribers to the platform will be treated to favorite gems from the vast archive of WCT’s video-taped stage performances, including main stage hits, the Speakeasy Monologue presentations, one-act plays by local playwright Don Samson and other delicious performances gems.

In its ongoing effort to expand locally-based community entertainment, Willits Community Theatre has launched its latest offering in streaming video.

“Speakeasy VII”, a newly-produced installment of the popular annual hit monologue show, is now available through the new WCT website. The production showcases original stories from many of the show’s long-time veterans, along with unique pieces from some very talented newcomers.
WCT Production Manager Mike A’Dair says of the show, “We think it’s wonderful that our local story-telling and the monologue format have continued with this latest mix.” He is particularly impressed that some of the performances include timely takes on life and conditions during the on-going pandemic.

Access to “Speakeasy VII” and WCT’s complete video library is available through its new website: www.wctperformingartscenter.org. For Speakeasy VII an optional donation is being requested to help support WCT in its move to expand viewing content for home audiences.

​The streaming lineup is scheduled to run through December, according to Producer Mike A’Dair. He says the selections will provide creative entertainment for people to enjoy while at home and will also support the theatre through its current interim period. He says of the line-up, “We’re presenting some of our locally-grown bests, drawing from the past ten years.” Planned for streaming are remakes of shows with newly-created voice-over narrations and an original production by Kelly Kesey covering the surprising lessons and benefits that local people have experienced during lockdown conditions.
