2020 Winter Exhibit: South of Main, Opens January 24 through May 2020. Our next show will use historical photos, maps and artifacts to tell the story of that part of downtown Mendocino located on the south side of Main Street.
Once a coastal prairie, then a crowded railroad and lumberyard ringed by stores and houses, it is now empty of buildings and known as the Mendocino Headlands State Park. The exhibit will present the ecology, geography and history of this Mendocino destination and answer the often-asked question – What was there?

The South of Main exhibit opens on January 24th and runs through May 18th at the Kelley House Museum. We ask for a $5.00 donation to the Museum, so that we may continue to offer our historical perspective and services to the Community of Mendocino.
