Guests at this popular annual event choose artisan bowls and enjoy sumptuous soups, fresh bread, appetizers, desserts & drinks (included in ticket price) plus live music &silent & live auctions, all in support of Plowshares’ work for those in need.
Plowshares’ Community Dining Room has provided free hot, nutritious meals with no questions asked since 1983. We recently expanded to serve meals six days a week. Plowshares’ Meals-on-Wheels for homebound seniors also expanded to an additional delivery route, plus frozen meals for weekends. Empty Bowls is an international effort to raise awareness of hunger, and funds for organizations directly serving local hunger needs.

The event will take place at Plowshares, 1346 S. State St. in Ukiah, on Saturday, June 1 at 5:30. Tickets cost $75 and include beer and wine (rather than buying them separately) and your choice of handmade bowl, as well as the dinner, music, and auctions. Tables of 8 are available for $600. Tickets may be purchased at Mendocino Book Company (102 S. School St), at the Plowshares office (1346 S. State St) or online at www.PlowsharesFeeds.org.
