Mendocino Open Paint Out Featured Artist Preview Exhibition

The Mendocino Art Center exhibits the plein air paintings of six Mendocino Open Paint Out (MOPO) featured artists in a MOPO preview exhibition, continuing through September 23. The featured artists – MOPO co-founder John Hewitt, Wendy Brayton, Ellen Howard, Suzi Marquess Long, Will Maller and Dennis Simpson – will take part in the sicth annual plein air festival, September 17-23, painting along the Mendocino Coast all week, hosting demonstrations, and judging the work of the 62 participating oil, pastel and water media artists competing for more than 9,000 in cash and prizes. Last year, over 400 paintings were created during the week.
