All who are interested are invited to attend this free (donations appreciated) event that will take place from Aug. 3-6, beginning on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (guided meditations on Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m.) and Sunday at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a dissolution ritual at 2 p.m.
A pop-up shop will have handcrafted, Tibetan wares including thangkas (scroll paintings), prayer flags, prayer beads, singing bowls and incense.
The featured item in the silent auction on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. is an original hand-painted Tibetan Medicine Buddha Thangka shipped directly from the artist in Nepal, embellished with gold paint and an embroidered tapestry border and signed on the back by all the monks. It is valued at $1,000 and will have a starting bid of $500.
Other items in the silent auction include: two tickets to each concert of the next season of the Symphony of the Redwoods; a pair of season tickets to Mendocino Theatre Company; a household membership to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens; a Quan Yin garden statue from Infinite Stone Works @infinite_stone_works; a Buddha head garden statue from Infinite Stone Works @infinite_stone_works; a gift certificate for a massage by Beth Richmond; and a gift certificate from Rise & Be Well.
