Northcoast Artists Gallery is pleased to present the May show “Mariko Irie 2024” by member artist Mariko Irie.
Mariko has loved to paint pictures since she was little. The world fascinates her.
From Mariko:
“In 1982, when I moved from Tokyo to Mendocino CA, the beauty of the earth was overwhelming to me. I just watched without painting.”
“Now I express that sentiment in watercolor and oil painting. I’m very pleased to have the ability to paint. I love to paint alone, spend time alone and connect with my subconscious. I can’t explain how precious that is.”
