Laurie’s contemporary abstract style is intriguing…she says,  “Painting is a complete joy, and I feel blessed to be able to play with my paints and share the results with others.

I am a contemporary abstract painter whose creative process relies on exploration and intuition. I rarely plan my paintings, preferring to stay in the present and let my brush lead the way. I find non-representational art to be very liberating, much like improvisational jazz or dance, in which I can create with complete spontaneity, free from self-limiting judgements and preconceptions. I use acrylic paint along with occasional pastels and charcoal pencils.”
