For the past four years, The Mendocino Coast Writers Conference has been teaming up with local visual artists to produce the Noyo River Review, a literary magazine featuring writing from our conference participants and showcasing artwork that evokes the essence of the Mendocino Coast. As we enter our fifth year online and in print, they are inviting artists to submit work.
You are invited to submit your artwork for publication in the Noyo River Review, a literary journal of writing from the annual Mendocino Coast Writers Conference contest and selected scholarship winners. Approximately 5 images will be selected to appear in color in both the online and print formats of the journal.
There is no fee for artists to enter their work. Those artists whose work is selected will be fully credited in the Noyo River Review and receive one print copy of the publication.
All artwork must be submitted electronically as high quality RGB tiff or jpg image files, with a resolution of 240 bpi or higher, and with minimum dimensions of 5 inches x 7 inches. Vertical images are somewhat preferred, though horizontals are acceptable. These images are not intended to illustrate specific stories or poems. All subject matter considered, but we prefer images that evoke the essence of creativity or life on the Mendocino Coast.
Up to three images may be submitted by November 30, 2016.
Please send them as email attachments to Editor Susan Bono: email@example.com
The selection of the works for the journal will be by Susan Bono, Noyo River Review editor, and her team. The chosen artists will be notified by early January. Publication of Noyo River Review is scheduled for late winter 2017.
