Bracelets and necklaces are typically used to display a piece of jewelry, but they can also be unique manifestations of jewelry themselves. The process of creating a chain link-by-link is often meditative in its focus and simplicity. In this in-person class with Mendocino Art Center Professional Artist in Retreat Tony Finocchio students will learn how to hand fabricate chain necklaces and bracelets from sterling silver wire. We will cover layout, round and oval links, unique and abstract links, clasps, texturing, soldering, and explore creative ways to incorporate pendants and stones. Students will complete at least one full length necklace and bracelet.
