Northcoast Artists Gallery presents “Meditations” featuring gallery member Leila Kazimi .

The work includes art quilts exploring images representing aspects of meditation and contemplation reflecting her lifelong practice. Photographs of doorways and windows from her outer travels are layered digitally as well as physically using hand dyed and natural plant printed fabrics to create a vision of the inner world.

Kazimi received her degree in Textiles at UC Davis and has shown her work at Northcoast Artists gallery for over 25 years as well as numerous other venues. She is also known for her hand dyed and printed silk scarves, which will also be on display.

Come to the coast and enjoy the cooler weather while visiting Kazimi’s show August 4 through August 30. There will be an opening where you can meet the artist on August 6 from 5 to 8pm.
