The Wild Gardens will be open from for visitors to take a stroll. Exploration is encouraged with self-guided materials. And Little Bear will be presiding over his popular table of Native tools and toys.
The Wild Gardens is a work in progress designed to showcase native plants and their habitats, and to learn about environmental sustainability and the cultural traditions of the Pomo Indians, Ukiah Valley’s original inhabitants. The Gardens feature an outdoor classroom with open-air seating; a fish trap sculpture and artisanal benches; and replicas of a salmon stream, wetlands, and other native environments.
