The Arts Council of Mendocino County and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are pleased to announce the opening of the Fourth Annual Sculpture Gallery at the Botanical Gardens.

RolandWoolseyEntMaidenA tour of the Sculpture Gallery was held on June 9, 2012 with many of the sculpture artists in attendance.

This annual sculpture gallery draws upon the wealth of regional artistic talent, primarily featuring the work of California artists, as well as work that was created specifically for the Botanical Gardens.

The artwork of 16 artists is currently on display: Christiansen-Arner, Diane Cochran, Eric Furman, Eileen Fitz-Faulkner, Steve Garcia, Chris VanGoethem, Keena Good, Kitty Gordon, Rick Morrow, David Mudgett, Baile Oakes, Bob O’Neil, Angela Ridgway, Pete Stecher, Louie Tozser, and Roland Woolsey. Visitors are able to view and enjoy the sculpture in an intimate, natural setting, connected by meandering paths and quiet walkways.

New work is accepted into the Sculpture Gallery on an annual or biannual basis. The next Call to Artists will take place in January 2014. The artwork in the current exhibit will be on display through April 2014.
