This GASP Model Integrated Arts Project presented by Mendocino County teacher and artist Marie Pera at the Arts Council’s 2nd Annual Open Eyes, Hearts and Minds—The Transformative Power of Learning Through the Arts institute provides resources for integrating the painting and drawing into the core curriculum using Georgia O’Keefe’s life and paintings as inspiration (along with Kim Nicolaïdes’ Natural Way to Draw techniques) to learn about and then create Modernist inspired paintings. For an overview of the project, access the GASP Model Integrated Arts Project PDF. For the referenced handouts, access the Supporting Handouts PDFs.
