Mary Monroe & Marie Pera

Mary: Mary is an extremely proficient watercolor painter with a eye for interpreting the beauty of nature. She has only these paintings to show due to the loss of her home and studio.

Marie: “I enjoy watercolors. I had a professional studio in the East Bay before moving to Mendocino County. Since retiring from Ukiah Unified School District, I am again enjoying my studio and am an active member of Ukiah Artist Cooperative as well as MCAA. The genres I paint are florals, shorescapes, still lives and landscapes. I also paint in oils or pastels and have done portraits in those mediums. My work is in many private and corporate collections”.

Artwork from instructors and students who participated in our 2017 education program will be on display the entire month of November. Mono printing, Felting, Beading, Watercolor, Oils, and Plein Aire at Rancho Mariposa, and Plein Aire with Tom Zephyrs was focus of workshops. Instructor art includes Tom Zephyrs, Ursula Partch, Nancy Collins, Clark Mitchell and Kate Gould.
