From 11am to 1pm, watch dozens of artists compete in a Quick Draw Competition. In order to be a surprise to the artists, the painting location will be announced at 10:30am at the Mendocino Art Center, on the MAC website, Facebook page, and the community announcement listserve.

Then, from 2pm to 5pm, visit the Mendocino Art Center to see all the Quick Draw art exhibited and vote for your favorite Quick Draw art.

The Mendocino Open Paint Out, a plein air festival, includes 70 artists painting en plein air, with wet paint sales of new artwork each day in the Mendocino Art Center’s galleries, twice daily demonstrations by featured artists, the opportunity to watch artists paint outdoors, festive nightly social gatherings, a People’s Choice Party, a Quick Draw Competition and Sale, a celebratory awards ceremony, and a live jazz and brunch party. Admission to all activities is free and open to the public. Donations are requested at the demonstrations.
