The Enchanted Pumpkin Path 2017: A magical “alternative to Trick-or-Treating” for children

Presented by Waldorf School of Mendocino County at Waldorf School of Mendocino County Campus

The Waldorf School of Mendocino County, is hosting the Enchanted Pumpkin Path on October 31, from 4:30pm8:30pm at their Calpella campus, 6280 Third Street. The kindergarten playground, and school campus will be transformed into a magical “alternative to Trick-or-Treating” for younger children and their families. Family fun: skits with treats, based around a children’s story, games, activities and food.

Each year, the event’s main feature is the Enchanted Path, which consists of nine skits with treats, bringing to life a favorite children’s story. The organizers enjoy keeping the theme a secret so as to surprise the children who journey through on Halloween. The past years’ themes have included skits from Peter Pan, Beatrix Potter Tales, Alice in Wonderland and other fairy tales.

On the black top, the Train Singer will be singing, and the fire pit will be blazing. Black top games, like the Spider Toss, Pumpkin Fishing, and Chalk Drawings will offer prizes. At the Tea Party Craft Table, children will be able to decorate their own kites, and sip tea. And at the Duchesse’s Smoky Cauldron Cafe, savory soups and chilli, Ms. French’s famous popcorn, hand baked goods cookies, Black Oak Coffee, apple cider, and hot chocolate will be available to warm the belly.
