In June, Partners Gallery presents “Restoration” by printmaker and painter Elizabeth Ross, ” June 2 through July 3, 2017 There is a First Friday Reception June 2, 5:00pm to 8:00pm with wines provided by Handley Cellars.
In 2014 the Philo artist began to almost single-handedly remove 5 acres of aged grape vines where she lives in an effort to restore the land for future generations. Her monotypes are made using both ink and dry pigments; stencils are used to suggest the lush layers of plant life. Horizon lines, weather, seasonal changes and plant diversity are reflected in this vibrant exploration of human impact and restoration.
