Remembering Bob Marley

Presented by Arena Theater at Arena Theater

Arena Theater, in collaboration with Gary Traywick, will present a concert in solidarity with Standing Rock. Jah Casa, the House of Jah, is dedicated to the Revelation and Universal message of Rastafari, of whom Bob Marley is the chief ambassador to the nations. The message is love, tolerance and understanding amongst all people and creatures of the world.

Singer-songwriter Gary Traywick, aka Brother G, is the founding member. Performing his own original songs in English and Spanish for the last three decades, Brother G is very pleased and honored to bring Bob’s music and message forward in this time.

These songs are more relevant now than ever, and Jah Casa is proud to bring them to you in solidarity with Standing Rock. The Songs of Freedom will be played in ceremonial style, with Nyabinghi drums, “a spiritual solution to the political pollution.”

Guest speakers and drummers will include the one and only Doctor Dread of Ras Records and the great Allan “Rocky” Bailey of the Sons of Negus, and Reggae Music’s Master of Ceremonies. Also taking part in the ceremonial drumming will be Point Arena’s own Keith Abrams. And to round out the evening for your dancing pleasure, Deejay Papa John (of KZYX) will bring ‘Zion Sound’ to the mix.

*A portion of the proceeds after expenses will benefit Standing Rock

Please come support Standing Rock and this great musical message!
