A retrospective of the watercolors and oil paintings of John Hewitt.
Hewitt is an icon of the Mendocino art community and a renown and prolific watercolorist. He is also a gifted instructor and has introduced legions of budding artists to the joys of plein air painting.
In fact, this August 6-11th, John will be hosting students at his Albion Plein Air Retreat. A special treat of this exhibit will be a curated collection of these John Hewitt students, to accompany his showcased work.
Please join us for the launch of this exhibit on Saturday, August 12th 4-8pm and throughout the month of August. The show will close on Sunday, September 3rd.

Lansing Street Gallery is disability friendly. We have ramps around the building to allow access for those who are wheelchair bound. This is a visual presentation. There are no acoustic elements, so those with hearing loss, but sight will be able to enjoy the show. Those with visual impairments will be able to enjoy the food, wine and company of artists from across the region on opening night, August 12th 4-8pm.
