LOBA Poetry Series
Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic
3rd Saturday of each month at 3:00 PM
Join the Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 3:00 pm. This free event is open to both teens & adults – all are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others.

On May 20th, we welcome Michael Riedell, who is the author of three books of poetry and served as poet laureate of Ukiah, where he hosts a monthly reading series, Writers Read. He has work in, or forthcoming in literary journals including Clutch, The Stillwater Review, Blue Unicorn, and in Molly Fisk’s California Fire & Water: A Climate Crisis Anthology. In his free time, he strums guitar, feeds backyard birds, and teaches English and Creative Writing. He is actively bribing and cajoling some of his students to join him for this event.

Please contact the Ukiah Branch Library at 707-463-4490 or carrm@mendocinocounty.org for more information.
