Artists Hillary Renick (Noyo), Eric Wilder (Kashaya Pomo) and Meyo Marrufo (Eastern Pomo, Robinson Rancheria) will talk about the importance of seaweed to Pomo peoples and the challenges they face in this age of climate crisis.
Visitors can also view the Museum’s current exhibit, The Curious World of Seaweed, featuring the artwork of Josie Iselin which explores the science and history of seaweed and its importance to life on our planet.
The event is free with Museum admission:
General admission is $5; $12 per family; $4 for students and seniors; free to all on the first Friday of the month; and always free to members, Native Americans, and standing military personnel.
