With positive encouragement and constant support, Bill held his students to a very high standard of craft and patience while drawing them into an appreciation of their Mendocino community and its history.

Rhianna Gallagher’s cyanotypes celebrate Mendocino, the unruly west coast of California and the aquatic realm of the heart.  Photographer and documentary cinematographer Willow O’Feral shares several of her dramatic annual family portraits. As part of his project documenting the unique and historic homes in the village of Mendocino Nik Zvolensky creates honest, minimalistic and nostalgic imagery. Justin Lewis shares photos from a series of portraits he made of his mother in their favorite Mendocino places, and as part of a book project called “Communal Child” Gabriel Berent explores his experience growing up in an Albion commune.
