The Deep Valley Arts Collective is preparing for a Halloween party at Medium Art Gallery Friday evening, Oct. 13 and invites the community to “put together your scariest and most creative costumes and join the frightening fun.”

There will be live music beginning at 9 p.m. by local Hip Hop group Some of The Truest, a costume contest, tarot readings by Madame Mumsy, spooky snacks, and boos and brews. Family friendly. Free admission.

Formed in Mendocino County, the trio Some of The Truest brings lyrical skill and original songs that will move your mind and body.

“Come dressed to impress in your best costume and compete in our costume contest,” Deep Valley Arts Collective stated in a press release. “Prizes will be given for ‘Best Couple,’ ‘Scariest,’ and ‘Most Creative’ costumes.”

The gallery will be open for regular business hours from noon until 8 p.m., with the festivities beginning at 8 p.m.

Medium Art Gallery is located inside the Pear Tree Center in Ukiah at 522 E. Perkins Street, next to Rod’s Shoes.
