The Mendocino Art Center highlights the paintings of the Mendocino Open Paint Out (MOPO) featured artists Maeve Croghan, Ryan Jensen and Carolyn Lord. The exhibit will feature works created during the plein air event on the Mendocino Coast, as well as paintings created previously.

The three prestigious artists painted outdoors during the weeklong Paint Out, each hosted a painting demonstration, and also judged the artwork of the 60 participating oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media artists competing for cash and prizes.

Join us for the exhibition of this exhibit and “Earth, Fire and Ash,” a celebration of woodfired ceramics. It will be a night with local woodfire artists sharing their stories about how they got into woodfired ceramics and what it means to them. There will also be a formal Q & A after the stories and the opportunity to talk to the artists about their work.
