Michael Doten and Craig Hathaway have collaborated to produce the exhibit WOODGRAIN and TIME. This floor show features the work of both artists and several collaborations that combine their respective woodworking philosophies.
This exhibit, titled WOODGRAIN and TIME, showcases old growth redwood, second growth redwood burls and roots, black walnut and cherry woods that compliment the finished pieces. Doten prefers the clean lines, intricate dovetails and angles of fine woodworking. Hathaway believes that mother nature did the hard work and it is his job to reveal her beauty through his craft, sanding and oiling live-edge pieces until they glow.
WOODGRAIN and TIME is the companion floor show to the Rosemary Allen COLOR and LINE wall exhibit.
