SnapSessions! Podcast presents Episode 46, featuring an interview with video editor and Reality TV Producer Sax Eno, and an analysis of the book The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story, by Pulitzer Prize winning author Nicole Hannah Jones.
The episode opens with an analysis of the book The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story, by Pulitzer Prize winning author Nicole Hannah Jones, which became the inspiration for the intellectual and social movement of “Critical Race Theory”. We explore this progressive book of essays and poems on slavery, Jim Crow, and the hypocrisy of the Founding Fathers, giving us the point of view of the disenfranchised and voiceless. We also explore the negative responses to the book of the conservative community.
This is followed by an interview with Reality TV editor Sax Eno, who grew up in Mendocino and then left for an education in Film Studies at Chapman University in Orange County. He got his start as a junior editor on MTV’s The Real World, and worked on shows such as Project Runway, Joe Millionaire, and The Real Housewives of Orange County. An amazing story from a kid who grew up in a water tower in Mendocino.
