The Artists’ Collective at Elk will present it’s October show: “Mud and
Fire”, a show of functional stoneware pottery by Alison Gardner. Alison
has been potting since 1982, and was trained locally at College of the

pottery of her local mentors as well as that of Bernard Leach, Michael
Cardew, Warren MacKenzie and others. She has developed a line of glazes
using local river silts, clay, and wood ashes.
The show will be up Oct. 5th through Oct. 31st, with a reception for the
artist with food and drink on 2nd. Sat., Oct 8th, 3 to 5 p.m.
During the reception, Alison will also be signing copies of her book The Wild
