Who: The members of Edgewater Gallery

When: Opening on January 7 from 5-8pm and continuing through January.

Where: Edgewater Gallery, 356 N. Main Street, Fort Bragg

The theme of the show celebrates the beginning of a new year with awakened positive possibilities.

Joe Duvivier’s painting “On Reflection” is an example of new beginnings. In Joe’s own words: “I have seldom painted flowers as they represent the artistic work of nature itself, but this painting is, for me, a symbolic representation of art itself. The native Douglas irises are reflected in a convex mirror as all is reflected in a painting. This includes my own image as the painter near the lower right edge. I guess we’ll see where all this takes me. It feels like a new direction, as, I suppose, art should always be. We all have to keep growing.”
