Not very often do we have a touring group from Europe especially not from Hungary here on the Mendocino Coast.
Great music by Salamon Somas band and virtuoso dancing by István Berecz, the “kicking the stars from the sky” Fred Astaire of Hungarian dance.

The concert will presents ethnic music of the different regions of the Carpathian Basin. Our folk music is characterized by authentic styles. Rich vocal music accompanied with various musical instruments. On the concert our focus will be on the music and dance of Transylvania, Moldavia and the Transdanubian region. This special music which had a great impact on composers like Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodaly will be shared with you on our Thursday concert.

On the concert Lilla Serlegi and Ferenc Tobak will performs with the band Croatian and Serbian music on different bagpipes and stringed instruments like samica and tamburitza.
