Debra Lennox, this week’s featured artist

Debra paints in watercolor, oil, and acrylic, and is also a printmaker. Printmaking has captured her heart right now, and exploring the relationship of black and white with a hint of color fascinates her. She loves Emmy Lou Packard from Mendocino, Hokusai from Japan and is experimenting with Andy Warhol’s multiple imagery manipulation. Her subject is the full moon, which is her current passion.

Her watercolors celebrate the light and texture of her favorite places while the paint flows freely and expressively. Her acrylics and oils feature vivid colors and strong composition that tell a visual story. Debra loves exploring many artistic interests from oceanside tidepools to life under the redwood trees or traveling to exotic locations for inspiration such as Miasa, Japan or into the Sierra mountains of California.
