Capturing the Moment – Larry Wagner
Theater, circus, wildlife, portraits, glamour, scenery, still life, street photography, collage and whatever strikes my fancy: I am an eclectic photographer. But there is a common theme for all that I do – a foundation, commonality and style inherent in all my work. My photographs are an affirmation of the majesty of the moment. I want my photography to do what no other art can do. What is common in my images is that they capture a moment as only photography can. The moment is a combination of the choice of subject, the incredible detail that a camera can deliver, the lighting, the color and contrast, the composition, and the many enhancements that can be controlled in the image. The objective of the portrayed moment is to emotionally affect my viewers, hold their attention and bring them back for more looks. My photographic image is not an emulation of a painting nor should it be. It is a photograph. Please explore these concepts as you view the work.
In this show I display moments with eleven themes: humor, grace, strength, beauty, floral sculpture, birds in flight, performance, love, outside my window, chic, and splendor. It gave me pleasure creating these images. I hope they bring you enjoyment.
Enjoy snacks and wine and meet the exhibiting artists.
