WCA presents paintings by Laura Corbin, JJ Crashbang and an installation by Jeanne Jesse

Presented by Willits Center for the Arts at Willits Center for the Arts

Laura Corbin earned a BFA at San Jose State University, then was a high school and college instructor near the Bay Area. A sabbatical year was an opportunity for another long journey around the world. Now settled in Mendocino county, her art reflects her rural surroundings and love of Nature. Dozens of sketchbooks attest to other travels and life experiences. She works primarily in watercolor, gouache, and acrylic.

JJ Crashbang went to Langara College in Vancouver.  There he was able to engage in his passion for the visual arts. He eventually found his way to Mendocino County where he taught and performed and created art.  All along he painted, sketched, did ceramics, built props, made costumes, whatever came to mind. In the past year, motivated by the necessities of the pandemic confinement, he took on a new unexplored focus, landscape painting.

Jeanne Jesse has been studying and working as an artist since the early 90\’s. She began with photography but landed on painting as her main medium. Her current bodies of work explore Lucid and Modern Art. Jeanne has also worked as a professional muralist for the last 16 years. Her education includes a B.F.A. from the San Kennedy University in Arts & Consciousness. Jeanne travels throughout the Bay Area painting murals, commissioned artwork and custom decorative finishes through her company Lakeshore Art Studios. She continues to develop her own bodies of work as well.

Stop in to see the show, March 5th through March 28th. Fridays through Sundays from 11 am until 5 pm.  The WCA is located at 71 East Commercial Street, next to the Noyo Theater.
