This art experience will be shown during the month of October in the front windows at 201 South State Street and can be viewed indoors Fridays and Saturday from 11am to 5pm and through the windows anytime.

Twenty-One MCAA members will show art they have created during this sheltered time proving that creativity will not be restricted. These members include: Polly Palecek, Sandy Strong, Adele Pruitt, Peggy Hebard, MariePera, Carol Rosenberg, Sara Falk, Dianna Steele, Linda Malone, Gina Greco, Cassie Gibson, Lynn Williams,Mary Waters-Monroe, Barbara Ware, Sharon Fenton, Cindy Lingren, Susan Walker, James McKell, Elaine Richard, Kathleen Gordon-Burke and Jeanette Carson, who is also curating this exhibit.

“The participation by so many members are a testament to the dedication of these artists to their craft and to their commitment to the Mendocino County Art Association, to paraphrase “You can’t keep a good artist down”, exclaims Ms. Carson.

On another note, Jeanette Carson recently put Kathleen Gordon-Burke’s name forward to the Corner Gallery, Artist’s Coop for membership and she was accepted. Kathleen stated, “I feel very honored to be accepted as a member in this prestigious gallery with so many of the area’s most creative talent”.

The Mendocino County Art Association is the oldest art organization in the County, established in 1954, its objective is to offer lectures, workshops, classes, and art exhibits for the benefit of its members and the public at large. Members receive first option to attend workshops at a reduced rate and opportunities to show their art in banks and galleries.
