Chris Hagie’s show of unique mixed media/collage abstracts opens Friday, October 2, from 11 until 5.
Chris’ collection of mixed media/collage abstracts is colorful and energetic. The goal of these works is the expression of shapes, value, color, line and textures into eye-pleasing pieces of edgy compositions that contribute to a sense of clearness in our chaotic world. She incorporates gold leaf, aluminum stencils, string, burlap, copies of photographs and patterns created on different types of paper into her work.
Chris retired after 43 years in education as a teacher and university professor in education and moved to Fort Bragg three years ago. During her career in education, she completed many art classes and visited galleries and museums in her quest to see as much as she can and participate in creating art. She is delighted to sell her work at Edgewater Gallery.
Admission is free.
