Jim Vickery’s”ODDITY” will be coming to the Artist’s Collective in Elk for the month of September.

Oddity, as defined by Webster is “an odd or remarkably unusual person, thing, or event”. You will find at least one of those definitions, if no tall three, at a Jim Vickery show. Born into a Navy family, he traveled a lot, but spent his adult life in the San Francisco / Bay Area, where he graduated from The College of Arts and Crafts with a BFA. He worked for city and countyPublic Works departments, trying to paint in between his job and raising a family. He retired to the Coast 10 years ago, and can now enjoy painting to his heart’s content.

He will be showing from September 1 thru September 30, with an opening reception on the third Saturday, September 17th, from 3-5 pm. He would love for you to come meet him, see his art and share in some food, libations and conversation.
