Held in Historic Downtown Ukiah on the first Friday of each month, the First Friday Art Walk is the perfect way to relax your body, mind and soul. This enjoyable evening begins at 5:00 p.m. and promises to delight your senses; all while enjoying the company of others.

· Alchemy Tea House 328 N State Street Come and enjoy the lovely environment of Ukiah’s new tea house.

· Art Center Ukiah 201 S State Street Artists share holiday inspiration and memories at Art Center in Ukiah. “Holidays in Mendocino County” with special featured artists Virginia MacIntosh, painting, Knox Gillespie, pottery, Bob Gaston Metal work. Festive music played live by the Loal Ukelele Band with Steve Winkle Guitar

erikamakinowithemil· Arts Council of Mendocino County 309 East Perkins Street Redwood Valley artist Erika Makino puts the finishing touches on her carved cement sculpture of a dinosaur, titled “Emil.”A carved cement sculpture of a seated cat, “Sabinli,” is one of several pieces by Erika Makino appearing as part of a solo show, “88.” The show opens at the ArtsCouncil Gallery in the Ukiah Depot as part of the First Friday Art Walk on Friday December 2 from 5 to 8 p.m.

· Bona Marketplace 116 W Standley Street Bona Marketplace will be featuring Sue Sweet and Polly Palecek with a show called Angels and Icons.

· City of Ukiah 300 Seminary Ave “Resources of the Soil” created by Benjamin Cunningham will be on display for all to see on that December First Friday art walk. The original Mural was hung with care in the old post office building and has just returned from the Parma Conservation from a full restoration/ cleaning. Come down to the City Of Ukiah at 300 Seminary Avenue to enjoy this large master piece.

· Community Foundation of Mendocino County 204 S Oak Street is hosting an open house for the formal opening of the newly-renovated Community Room and the official unveiling of artist Lauren Sinott’s amazing wall mural depicting the beauty and diversity of Mendocino County. This is a great opportunity to meet The Community Foundation of Mendocino Counties new CEO Megan Barber Allende

· Corner Gallery 201 S State Street present delightful art and holiday cheer. Featuring Spencer Brewer and Esther Siegel as the Corner Gallery Exclusive Artists for December.

There will be 20 local artisans selling their wares. The Sun House Guild will be selling McFadden Farm wreaths and the Museum Gift Shop will be offering a 15% store wide discount. · W Real Estate 101 N State Street This December W Real Estate will be featuring Molly Huddleston a local landscape photographer. Come meet our agents, enjoy snacks and refreshments. She has always enjoyed doing artwork of one kind or another and taking photos was a natural extension of that. In recent years, she felt a real need to get back to her creativity and picked up a camera. She has worked at improving her “work” and pushing boundaries, especially when traveling. She has been “shooting” photos for the past 10+ years enjoying the beauty of our special place. She photographs everything with an eye toward their inner beauty.
