Ocean Wildlife Exhibit - GALLERY CLOSED

Ocean Wildlife Exhibit - GALLERY CLOSED

Presented by Mendocino Art Center at Mendocino Art Center

With increasing concerns surrounding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s recommendation to postpone public gatherings, and instructing all Californians 65 and older and those with chronic health conditions to isolate themselves at home, the Mendocino Art Center has decided to exercise caution by postponing all classes, open studios, and gallery exhibitions, and closing our gallery store, through April 30. The Mendocino Art Center buildings will remain closed. Our employees will continue to work remotely from the safety of their homes.

The health and safety of you, our valued patrons and students, and our artists and employees is of utmost importance.

Those of you who have enrolled in a class scheduled between now and the end of the April will be contacted soon.

As a non-profit arts organization, the Mendocino Art Center relies heavily on the support of our students and patrons. The Mendocino Art Center, as well as other non-profit organizations in our community and beyond, could experience significant losses due to the impact of COVID-19.

Your donation to support us during this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate this ever-changing challenge. We wish you good health and look forward to welcoming you back to the Mendocino Art Center.

Sincerely,

Roccie Hill
Executive Director

This annual exhibit celebrates the oceanic wildlife that is such an integral part of the local environment. This showing, coinciding with the Mendocino Coast Whale Festival, features Buster Dyer’s blown glass works, Cynthia Myers’ sand-carved art glass, Cleo Vilett’s oil and watercolor paintings, and Patrick Doyle’s carved wood art table and a door created in collaboration with Mendocino Doors.
