Bilingual Poetry Reading

Presented by Ukiah Library at Ukiah Library

Join us at the Ukiah Library on Saturday, January 18th at 3 pm for a bilingual reading from the brand new collected poems of Ulalume González de León, Plagios/Plagiarisms, coming soon from Sixteen Rivers Press. We will have a live reading with poets/translators, Terry Ehret, John Johnson, and Nancy J. Morales. Open mic follows; teens & adults are invited to share poems in any form or style.

González de León’s work explores the ephemeral nature of identity, and its dependence on the ever-shifting ground of language and memory. The poet translators include, Terry Ehret, one of the founders of Sixteen Rivers Press, John Johnson whose work has appeared in many print and online journals and Nancy J. Morales who holds a Masters in English as a Second Language and a PhD in Education from Columbia.

Light refreshments will be served at this event.  For more information – please contact Melissa at the Ukiah Library: 234-2862 or carrm@mendocinocounty.org
