SPECIAL NATIONWIDE EVENT SCREENINGS ON WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 25, TIMED TO COINCIDE WITH THE U.N. CLIMATE SUMMIT IN NEW YORK
WITH SUPPORT FROM ART HOUSE CONVERGENCE
Arena Theater has scheduled a screening on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. to play our part in the discussion about climate change in our area and help send a message that the independent film community stands in support of efforts to fight global climate change.
A stunning sensory experience and cinematic meditation on humanity’s massive re-engineering of the planet, Anthropocene: The Human Epoch is a years-in-the-making feature documentary from the award-winning team behind Manufactured Landscapes (2006) and Watermark (2013) and narrated by Alicia Vikander. The film follows the research of an international body of scientists, the Anthropocene Working Group which, after nearly 10 years of research, argues that as a result of profound and lasting human changes to the Earth, the Holocene Epoch gave way in the mid-twentieth century to what they call the Anthropocene Epoch.
