In celebration of the Fourth of July and following the Point Arena Independence Day fireworks, DJ Larry Hacken will spin his selection of reggae tunes at Arena Theater

Hacken, also known by the moniker of his beloved KZYZ radio program “Heavyweight Sound,” has built a reputation as an accomplished reggae DJ and radio host over the past 20-plus years. He has over three decades of experience collecting Jamaican music and has a reputation for his knowledge of reggae rarities and obscure artists. Most recently, Hacken has been hosting a bi-monthly party at Dick’s place in Mendocino, CA, and he’s been spinning vinyl reggae oldies and some new goodies at a local bar in Point Arena.

The Arena Theater snack stand and a full bar for everyone over 21 will be open. Tickets are $12 at the door.
