Judith Hale Retrospective

Judith Hale Retrospective

Presented by Mendocino Art Center at Mendocino Art Center

A selection of Judith Hale’s vivid oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and paper will be part of a retrospective exhibit. Hale (1945-2010) used color and line in ways that were both alive and reflective of the natural world. She was born in Mexico City and spent most of her life in California, including over 30 years along the Mendocino Coast. She was a graduate of the California College of the Arts, and also studied at the Santa Fe Art Institute with Helen Frankenthaler. Her work has been shown widely throughout California and the United States and is in many private collections. For many years, she taught Abstract Expressionist painting at MAC.
