Mendocino Dance Project brings an all-new original show to Mendocino this spring. Spectator explores how the body reacts to outside pressures, perceptions, and influences, and how those things are reflected in our physicality. All of our experiences, thoughts and feelings are carried in our bodies. We react to situations and to each other in a variety of ways, always triggering a physical response, sometimes subtle, sometimes glaringly obvious. Spectator looks at the many ways we witness each other and what changes occur with shifts in one’s environment.

Mendocino Dance Project is a dynamic and athletic dance company from the Mendocino Coast making dances inside theaters and in outside spaces, on and off the ground. The company’s thought provoking work addresses what it is like to be human from many different angles. In addition to performing and creating original shows, Mendocino Dance Project teaches creative movement in schools, offers workshops and classes, collaborates with other arts organizations, and brings quality entertainment to Mendocino County communities and beyond.
