Observations is a show featuring watercolors by Cottie Morrison and acrylic paintings by Janet Rosen, up from May 3 through June 5.
Becoming friends some years ago as longtime practitioners of both healing arts and internal martial arts, Cottie Morrison and Janet Rosen eventually got around to sharing their artwork. Each of them create highly personal work based on skilled, open-hearted observation of the world around them.
Cottie says “I have little art training but much exposure to and appreciation for the beauty in the world. I like to think that I recycle beauty for all to share.” Born and raised in New York, Janet attended the Brooklyn Museum Art School for four years before relocating to northern California. “Based on carefully composed reference photos, my work is always a meditation on time and space.”
Join them, with music and refreshments, during the First Friday Artwalk on May 3, 5 – 7 PM. The show can be viewed during all Library open hours.
