Wheatley has achieved international acclaim for his bronze bird sculptures. His work, chosen for its strength, grace and symbolic content, has found its way into public, private, and corporate collections around the world, and been chosen by world leaders to commemorate important events. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton are among those who have presented Wheatley’s sculptures as gifts to heads of state. Ray and Donna Worster donated the collection to the Mendocino Art Center.
