Dan Scannell: Flora & Fauna in Silver & Gold

Dan Scannell: Flora & Fauna in Silver & Gold

Presented by Mendocino Art Center at Mendocino Art Center

“My latest series of paintings is inspired by 18th and 19th century Japanese screens. Those screens captured the simple beauty of the natural world the artists observed every day.

“My paintings feature the flora and fauna of California’s North Coast and, like those Japanese screens, the backgrounds are covered with silver and gold leaf.”
