California-based hard rock band “Ampage” will play a fundraiser concert at Arena Theater with all proceeds going to the Point Arena High School Triathlon Team.
Mark Mason and his hard rock band Ampage will play a benefit concert for the Point Arena High School triathlon team at Arena Theater on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The concert will be recorded for an upcoming live album. Tickets are $20 at the door and all proceeds will go to the triathlon team.
The current lineup features Mark Mason on lead vocals and guitar, Mark Pearce on lead guitar and vocals, Bill Stokem on bass and vocals, and drummer Jason Fish “who adds incredible pitch perfect vocals to the songs and a chemistry with the other band members to complete that magical Ampage sound,” according to Mason.
Since its inception in the mid-80s, Ampage has played in varied configurations but according to band leader Mason, “Ampage has remained strong and dedicated throughout the changes over the years to spite all the ‘bumps’ in the road of a touring hard rock band, bringing dynamic rock performances to our fans.”
“We’d like to encourage all rock fans and friends of the PAHS triathlon team to come out and support the team,” Mason said. The Arena Theater snack stand and bar will be open.
