The Ukiah Symphony Orchestra presents, “Kick Off Your Shoes,” a tribute to the Big Band Dance, featuring Roseanne Wetzel (songstress) and Pedro Rodelas (crooner).
The Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Les Pfutzenreuter, will perform the first season’s concert, “Kick Off Your Shoes” on Saturday, September 8, at 8 pm and Sunday, September 9, at 2 pm at the Mendocino College Center Theatre. The program will feature vocalists, Roseanne Wetzel and Pedro Rodelas.
A full big band will keep the joint jumping as they perform those 40’s and 50’s tunes that had the Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey bands swinging! Roseanne and Pedro will sing greats that made Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin the toast of all America.
Tickets available at Mendocino Book Company, Ukiah; www.ukiahsymphony.org; tickets sold at the Mendocino College Center Theatre door starting 30 minutes before the concerts.
Adult tickets: $30 each; seniors, 65 and up: $25; students with an ASB student body card and those under 18 are admitted for free–pick up these tickets at the theater door 30 minutes before start of concert.
Purchasing season tickets saves you money, and they are available at the door or at www.ukiahsymphony.org. Adult tickets for 4 season concerts, $90; senior tickets for 4 season concerts, $75.
Seating is general and not reserved. There is a seating area for those with wheelchairs and walkers.
