Robert Yellan featured artist

Presented by Artists' Co-op of Mendocino at Artists’ Co-op Of Mendocino

Robert Yelland is Featured Artist August 8 through September 3 at the Artists’ Co-op of Mendocino

Robert Yelland is currently painting en plein air in and around Mendocino. His career as an artist began 57 years ago when he traveled from the California College of Arts and Crafts, and was met at the bus stop in downtown Mendocino by Bill Zacha, the founder of the Mendocino Art Center. After an evening of freshly caught and cooked mussels, Robert turned his sights toward the northerly coastal community where he resides today. After many successful years as a weaver, and then later as a jeweler, showing at the Artists’ Cooperative of Mendocino and the Mendocino Art Center, Robert finds himself today passionate about painting nature and capturing the changing light and mood of each setting.

Meet Robert for his artist talk at 5:30 at the 2nd Saturday Opening on August 11 from 5-8pm. The exhibit runs from August 8-September 3, 2018.

Founded in 1988 the Co-op is currently celebrating our 30th Anniversary year.

The gallery is located on the NW corner of Kasten and Albion Sts in Mendocino.
