Sunday August 5 the will be the Celebrating Our Coast and the Fort Bragg’s Birthday party, and you are invited.

The day starts off at 8am with the second annual Noyo Headlands race with a new and improved course on the the newly connected Glass Beach and Noyo Headlands Park Trails overlooking the ocean. The race includes a kids race. 5 and 10K runs, a half marathon, 5 k fun walk with special youth race divisions. For more information on the race or to register go to Noyo Headlands Race Race proceeds benefit the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation. After the race it’s an afternoon of fun for all including music, live entertainment, food, drink, and lots of local businesses and non-profit groups.

The Noyo Center for Marine Science will have events near the Crow’s Nest Interpretive Center will focus awareness on their Help the Kelp initiative, a collaborative effort to restore our kelp what have been decimated in recent years.
